New Maya Renderer Comes Out of Shell at SIGGRAPH

Illuminate Labs will reveal a new renderer for Maya at SIGGRAPH 2003. The company claims TURTLE for Maya will offer previously unseen rendering speed for complex scenes with advanced lighting.

TURTLE for Maya is based on the new LIQUIDLIGHT rendering technology and will offer new Global Illumination techniques and visualization functionality. It has been in beta testing since spring of 2003, with the commercial launch set for the fourth quarter of 2003.

Illuminate Labs develops and markets rendering technology for computer animation, design visualization and digital content creation. Its LIQUIDLIGHT rendering technology is the result of years of research at Chalmers University of Technology.

SIGGRAPH participants can visit Illuminate Labs booth (No.2447) for the first official demonstration of TURTLE for Maya. The company will exhibit sample work produced by beta testers in the animation, automotive, industrial design and computer games industries.
