Computer geeks who never won a ribbon on track-and-field day now have an opportunity to bring home a prize for their pixel-pushing prowess. Luxology, an independent developer of 3D content creation tools, will conduct 3D speed modeling competitions as it demonstrates its new technologies at Apple Stores in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Francisco and New York City this tmonth.
The "Rapid 3D Modeling with modo on OS X" events will include demonstrations of modo, Luxology’s new subdivision surface and polygonal modeling platform. The competition portion will have attendees vote for the ultimate modo modeling master.
Brad Peebler, president of Luxology, comments, "Similar in format to television’s Iron Chef, our demo and competition will be very fast-paced and engaging. These events are a great opportunity for attendees to experience modo in a unique way and see why it has earned a reputation for being the industry’s fastest new modeling toolset."
