Kaydara Wins Mercuriades Technical Innovation Award

3D character animation and motion capture software producer Kaydara has won Quebec’s prestigious Mercuriades 2003 Technical Innovation Award. The company received the honor for outstanding achievement in the development of its FBX technology, a universal 3D interchange format that allows digital artists to easily view and transport content from one 3D package to another.

Les Mercuriades is a business awards competition organized by the Quebec

Chamber of Commerce Federation. The Technical Innovation category honors businesses that have gained distinction through a technological innovation that has evolved from its own internal research and development program. Kaydara was selected from a broad range of high caliber technology companies on the criteria of innovative design, advanced technical development and perfection of a process or technology.

Previous winners in this category include Silanis Technology Inc. (St-Laurent), Forensic Technology WAI Inc. (Montreal), Advantech AMT (Dorval), Ericsson Canada Inc. (Ville Mont-Royal), and Technologies 20-20 Inc. (Laval). For more information on Les Mercuriades, visit www.mercuriades.com.

“This accolade combined with Kaydara’s inclusion on Deloitte and Touche’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 hit list for fastest growing Canadian companies, conveys Kaydara’s success and significance within the Canadian business community," says Michel Besner, president and co-founder of Kaydara, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
