Discreet Outfits Digital Domain in Multi-million Dollar Deal

Discreet announced that Los Angeles-based effects house Digital Domain has completed a multi-million dollar installation that includes a new inferno 5 suite, flame and flint upgrades, and an expansion of its combustion 2.1 desktop compositing capabilities.

The Academy Award-winning studio has used Discreeet systems for nearly a decade and counts among its credits the features True Lies, Titanic, What Dreams May Come, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, XXX and Star Trek: Nemesis. The facility also provides effects for high-profile commercials like the recent Gatorade and Sony spots that aired during Super Bowl XXXVII.

Discreet is showcasing the recently released and price reduced combustion 2.1 for unified vector paint, animation and 3D compositing, and the newly introduced cleaner XL for media mastering at booth #SL1500 at NAB.
