Buffy FXers Bite Into New Venture

Producer Steve Schofield and Creative Directors Chris Jones and Loni Peristere from the visual effects team behind the WB series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, have left San Francisco-based Radium to start Zoic Studios in Los Angeles.

Zoic, which opened for business on Sept. 4, has retained work on Buffy, Angel and Fox’s new series Firefly, all produced by Joss Whedon. In addition, the studio will be creating effects and CG animation for commercials, music videos, feature films and other television series, including ABC’s Miracles.
