Asylum VFX Closes Shop

Asylum Visual Effects in Santa Monica has shut its doors and let go its staff, according to fxguide.com

The studio had contributed visual effects to such films as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Terminator Salvation, Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The house also did extensive work on commercials.

The company was founded 11 years ago by Nathan McGuinness.
