Animators will have a new reason to get their hands on the recently released Lenovo x41 ThinkPad Tablet. Toronto-based software powerhouse Alias announced today that its Sketchbook Pro software will now be bundled with the ThinkPad Tablet PC. A full-feature trial software version of Alias’ digital pen-based sketching and annotation software will be included on all ThinkPad X41 Tablet units. As part of Lenovo’s offering, customers will be able to download, install and use Alias SketchBook Pro without restriction for a 15-day trial period, with a limited-feature version after the trial expires.

“The utility of the Alias SketchBook Pro features and functions successfully highlights the capabilities of the ThinkPad X41 Tablet,” says Steve Maric, global sales and marketing manager for Alias SketchBook Pro. “By matching Alias’ expertise in digital paint and drawing technology with Lenovo’s Tablet, a powerful visual thinking and presentation tool has been born.”

Alias SketchBook Pro is a nimble, high-quality paint and drawing application designed for use with a Tablet and stylus. The handy, mobile gizmo has a simple and natural interface that feels like drawing with a pen on paper. Used by designers, illustrators, visualization specialists, educators, artists and others looking to capture their ideas and communicate visual concepts, this software features paint, image organization, annotation and presentation tools to replace the traditional paper sketchbook. To purchase Alias SketchBook Pro or to download a free 15-day full-feature trial version of the software, please visit www.alias.com/sketchbookpro.
