Zodiak Secures Slew of CEE TV Sales

Zodiak Kids, the children’s production/distribution arm of Zodiak Media, has finalized a number of deals in the Central and Eastern Europe territory, totally over 300 hours of programming.

A large chunk goes to Minimax and Megamax which have both picked up multi-territory deals for a number of series. Minimax (Hungary, Romania, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Moldova, Albania & Ex-Yugoslavia) has opted for Teleimages’ film Emilie Jolie, Optimistic Pictures’ Charlotte and Henry and Marathon Media’s Famous (26 x 26); while Megamax (Hung., Rom., Czech, Slov., Mold.) has picked up animated fantasy series Gormiti (65 x 26) and Teleimages’ toons Street Football and Basketeers seasons 1 and 2 (both 26 x 26).

Slovenia’s Pop TV has nabbed seasons 1 & 2 of crafts show Mister Maker (40 x 20), The Foundation’s preschool toon Tickety Toc (52 x 11) and Basketeers, as well as newly acquired animated series Horrid Henry from Novel Entertainment (seasons 2 and 3, 52 x 11). Prava i Prevodi had previously picked up a substantial package of Zodiak Kids shows for Ex-Yugoslavia and is renewing seasons 1 and 2 of Waybuloo as well as taking on season 3 for a 150 episode total. In addition, Da Vinci Learning (CEE, Russia+ CIS, Asia, Middle East and Africa) has signed a multi-territory deal for The Foundation’s Fingertips (seasons 1-5) and Brilliant Creatures (seasons 4-6).
