Canadian animation studio Yowza is collaborating with publisher OwlKids and CBC Television on a new preschool series called Chirp. The show is based on content by Chirp magazine and will take advantage of mixed media to entertain its young audience. Yowza’s head of business development Heather Walker noted, “Chirp magazine is an important entry for young children into reading, learning and interactive fun. We strongly believe in the value of the brand and are very excited to be working closely with Kim Wilson and her CBC team to carefully guide Chirp and his friends into all cross media.”

The Yowza team, led by Dave Thomas, is also working closely with Moonray Studios and Dan Clark to develop a comprehensive and innovative interactive Chirp experience including apps and games.
