TV Toons Fatten Up For The Holidays

For Thanksgiving, ABC Family is dishing out extra helpings of Power Rangers: Wild Force, Best of Power Rangers, Beyblade, Tokyo Pig, Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension and Medabots. A two-morning marathon on Saturday and Sunday will feature back-to-back episodes centered on family, friends and food. Episodes like “Eat Drink Man Medabot,” “Trouble By the Slice” (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and a new Toyko Pig entitled “Dad’s the Worst Cook in the World” should fit right into the theme of the holiday.

Heading into the winter holidays, Cartoon Network will kick off December programming with A Johnny Bravo Christmas on Dec. 2, 12 Tiny Christmas Tales on Dec. 3 and a week of How The Grinch Stole Christmas starting Dec. 2. The festivities will continue with Grandma Got Runover By A Reindeer on Dec. 16, Olive, The Other Reindeer on Dec. 14 and a 12-Hour Christmas Party featuring Hanna-Barbera classics on Dec. 14. Christmas eve and Christmas day will see another 24-Hour Christmas Party featuring even more classic cartoons.

Also on tap for the holidays is The Star of Christmas, a new VeggieTales special premiering on PBS in December.
