KidsCo, the newly formed global channel for children and families, has announced a significant content deal with TV-Loonland. TV-Loonland, an award winning independent producer and distributor of children’s programming will provide Kids with a raft of titles. They include, among others: Clifford, The Famous Jett Jackson, GI Joe and The Black Stallion.
For its part, KidsCo rolls out globally later this year with the first launch anticipated in Central and Eastern Europe. That will be followed by premieres throughout 2008 and 2009 in approximately 40 territories across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
A joint venture between Sparrowhawk Media, DIC Entertainment and Corus Entertainment Inc.’s Nelvana Enterprises, KidsCo describes itself as a 24/7 multi-platform channel committed to providing a responsible and entertaining environment for children and families around the world. ‘TV-Loonland has an excellent reputation for creating high quality programming for the youth market,’ says Paul Robinson, KidsCo managing director. ‘The line-up of programming they can provide for us will further enhance the extensive libraries of our partners.’
