Turner EMEA has teamed with Austrian start-up Tonio to present an innovative new viewer experience, “Gumball VIP” — giving fans of The Amazing World of Gumball the chance to take part in a live, interactive, linear TV experiment running for one week starting Saturday, Oct. 21 on Cartoon Network UK.
The “Gumball VIP” experiment combines TV viewing with an interactive second screen experience (and the chance to win awesome prizes) utilizing Tonio’s audio-recognition technology to serve up live quiz questions to fans on their mobile devices, based on the Gumball episodes they are watching simultaneously on Cartoon Network.
