Having released a manga version of Disney Pixar’s CG blockbuster Monsters, Inc., U.S. manga publisher TOKYOPOP will do the same for one of the small screen’s biggest animated hits. The company will publish and distribute Digimon in authentic manga (right-to-left) form. Like Monsters, Inc., Digimon is part of the Disney Publishing Worldwide portfolio.
Digimon will join TOKYOPOP’s growing roster of established properties, including top-sellers Cowboy Bebop, Chobits, GTO and Real Bout High School.
Currently airing on ABC, Digimon follows the adventures of seven ordinary kids who gain “digivices” that transport them into the Digital World, where they must battle evil Digimon monsters.
