As WB founder Jamie Kellner prepares to step down as chairman and CEO in May, The Hollywood Reporter tells us that WB entertainment president Jordan Levin, multi-network veteran Garth Ancier and WB president and chief operating officer Jed Petrick will take over the reins.
Levin will oversee operations as CEO, working closely with chairman Ancier on strategic issues. Petrick will maintain his duties as president and chief operating officer, overseeing advertising sales, distribution and the Kids’ WB! program block.
Levin was recruited from the Walt Disney Co.’s TV unit in 1994 for the launch of WB. He has been with the network nine years, serving as entertainment president for the past two.
Kellner also brought Ancier, with whom he worked closely at the Fox Broadcasting Co. and later TBS, for the start of WB. In between, Ancier took a brief turn as entertainment chief at NBC.
