Sundance Abducts Plympton Flicks

Daily Variety reports that Sundance Channel has picked up two features and nine shorts by indie animator Bill Plympton. The adult-oriented cartoons will air May 2 as part of a filmmaker spotlight titled Get to Know: Bill Plympton.

The triple feature will mark the U.S. TV premiere of Plympton’s 2002 feature Mutant Aliens, as well as The Tune and the short film program Mondo Plympton. Shorts to be included are Eat, Parking, Your Face, One of Those Days, How to Kiss, 25 Ways to Quit Smoking, Plymptoons, Draw and Nosehair.

The Tune, Mutant Aliens and Mondo Plympton will also air individually during the month of May.
