Studio100 Media, a subsidiary of Belgium’s leading family entertainment group Studio100, has entered into an agreement with French/Swiss broadcaster RTS for several of its library series.

The agreement gives RTS exclusive FreeTV rights for the newly re-mastered 3D animation series Maya the Bee (78 x 11), Vicky the Viking (78 x 11) and Heidi (78 x 11) over a four-year period with unlimited runs, commencing from availability. RTS has also acquired the animated series Pippi Longstocking (26 x 24) for four years.

Patrick Elmendorff, Managing Director of Studio100 Media said, “We are delighted to have secured this agreement for our ‘new 3D’ classics and to have strengthened our successful and long lasting relationship with RTS. With generations watching these series, their popularity and high recognition factor, we are confident that we will be able to build on their success with RTS and offer audiences in French speaking Switzerland these truly amazing and vibrant shows.”

Delivery is set for late 2012, 2013 and 2014, respectively.
