Studio B Oils Up My Pet Robot

Vancouver-based Studio B has entered into a development deal with TV Ontario for a new animated series titled My Pet Robot. The toon studio will deliver 52 11-minute episodes of the children’s show, slated for broadcast in fall 2005.

Aimed at kids five-eight, My Pet Robot follows the fantastic adventures and comic exploits of two mismatched buddies. Casey, a human boy, is a fun but cautious kid who likes to ponder and prepare. His mechanical friend, Weeble, on the other hand, is a wildly inventive automaton who reacts first and asks questions later.

Award-winning animation house Studio B has produced more than 150 half hours of original programming including Yvon of the Yukon, What About Mimi?, and D’Myna LeaguesM, which airs in more than 22 countries around the world. The studio’s international co-productions include Something Else and Yakkity Yak, which airs on Nickelodeon in the U.S. Currently in production is the 26×22 series Being Ian for YTV.
