Strike.TV has picked up The Goob, a popular online animated web series created by indie Swedish studio Assorted Nuts. During the toon’s initial release in Europe by Sony Ericsson, it registered 5 million mobile downloads.
In the first episode of this online series, the main character, Dwayne ‘the Goob’ Gundersen decides to leave the safety of his home on a peanut farm in Alabama to pursue his dream of becoming an actor in Hollywood.
Strike.TV will release three to six episodes per week, giving the the series a two month initial run. The final episode, currently in production, will air in early October.
