Spike TV Zeroes in on John Leguizamo

Emmy Award-winning actor/writer/comedian John Leguizamo (Ice Age, Moulin Rouge, Empire) has created a 30-minute adult animated special to air on Spike TV (formerly The New TNN). Zilch & Zero will be among a number of adult-themed, animated projects to occupy airtime on the station being promoted as the first network for men.

Zilch and Zero are slacker best friends who work in a video store and spend their day critiquing the latest films to come out on DVD. The cinephiles are consumed by movie trivia and constantly recite their favorite, over-the-top movie lines.

In a release, Leguizamo comments, “This special allows me to be me, myself and I – animated. I’ve been living with this idea for quite a while and it’s a perfect match for Spike TV.”

Zilch & Zero is co-produced by Spike TV and Rebel Films. Geoffrey Whalen and Scott McCauley are writing the special. Spike TV, a division of MTV Networks, will debut on Monday, June 16.
