Spike TV continues to acquire properties for its adult animation block, The Strip. C21 Media reports that the popular late night lineup currently populated by Stan Lee’s Stripperella, Gary the Rat and Ren & Stimpy will be visited by the "King of all Media" when he was just the prince of puberty.
Back in December we brought you word that radio talk-show host Howard Stern was developing an autobiographical animated series about his awkward adolescence. Now it appears that Howard Stern–The Teenage Years will debut on Spike sometime in 2005.
As previously reported, Spike TV will also air the animated John Leguizamo special Zilch & Zero, which will later become a series. Leguizamo will exec. produce and lend his voice to the 30-minute comedy about slacker best friends who work in a video store and spend their days critiquing the latest films to come out on DVD. Spike TV and Rebel Films are co-producing the special, slated to air in 2004.
Also look for shorts form the Spike & Mike Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation to show up on Spike TV. The two entities struck a deal in August and the first six episodes of the series are set begin airing late this fall.
