As Fox’s hit animated series The Simpson’s gears up for its 300th episode, The Hollywood Reporter tells us that the show’s exec. producer and show runner, Al Jean, has inked a seven-figure deal with 20th Century Fox TV to stay on for at least two more seasons.

Jean has been part of the Simpsons team since the beginning. Early on, he ran the show with Mike Reiss and returned again in 2001 after co-creating other projects including The Critic and Teen Angel. As part of the renewal deal, he will also develop new series for the studio.
