Cartoon Network has greenlit a new stop-motion series exec produced by actor Seth Green, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The cabler has ordered 20 episodes of the untitled project, which will feature famous toys acting out satirical sketches.

“It’s like Saturday Night Live with toys instead of actors,” says Green. “We’re ecstatic to be doing it with the Cartoon Network. The actor, whose recent credits include Party Monster, and Greg the Bunny, also provided the voice of Chris, the potty-mouthed slacker son on Family Guy. He created and produced the new series with Matthew Senreich, editorial director of Wizard Entertainment. Green and Senreich will co-write the show with Doug Goldstein and Tom Roots.

The show is set to premiere on Cartoon Network’s late-night Adult Swim block in October.
