Presidents Boogie on Nickelodeon

Politicians have been known to dance around the issues, but this Presidents’ Day, Nickelodeon will have them getting down like never before during a special cartoon marathon. The President’s Day Dance Party, hosted by "DJ" Jimmy Neutron and his dancing dog "Go-Go" Goddard, will air Monday, Feb. 17 (3-9 p.m. ET/PT).

In addition to Presidents Bush and Clinton, the animated segments will feature the nation’s forefathers shaking their tail feathers between episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants (2-5 p.m. ET/PT) and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius (5-9 p.m. ET/PT). Both programs will air during U-Pick.

The holiday dance party will kick off with the premiere of a new Jimmy Neutron episode. In “Party at Neutron’s” (8:00 p.m. ET/PT), an impromptu party at Jimmy’s lab gets a little out of control as the revelers abuse Jimmy’s inventions. When his Neutronic Game Cube sends Sheen into his favorite Ultra Lord video game, Jimmy must to go in and save him from the clutches of Robo-Fiend.

Under the direction of Matt Jenkins, Wild Hare Studios in Atlanta animated the presidents via multi-layer composites of cell animation and New York-based Virtual Persuasion produced the 3D animation of “DJ Jimmy.” Nickelodeon’s Dema Hanna produces, with Brian Tolleson serving as supervising producer and Sr. VP Niels Schuurmans assuming creative director duties. Designer Anna Yoon and On-Air Graphics creative director Trish Russoniello provided Nick’s in-house graphic supervision.
