Nicktoons Hungry for Three Delivery
Animation Collective’s sizzling new toon, Three Delivery, will be served up by Nicktoons on June 27. An awesome mix of martial arts, high-speed bike races, paranormal mysteries and Chinese food, the 26-episode toon is set in a mythical Chinatown (inspired by cityscapes in New York and San Francisco) and follows three Kung Fu-fighting teens as they juggle school, delivering food for a Chinese restaurant and protecting ancient recipes from the evil Kong Li. The show will air Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.
‘Three Delivery is an evolution in animated visual storytelling,’ says Larry Schwarz, creator of Three Delivery and CEO of Animation Collective, the hip New York studio which has brought us shows such as Kappa Mikey, Ellen’s Acres and Thumb Wrestling Federation. ‘While we wanted to stay true to animation, the real-life character relationships and cinematic look we achieved make this series feel different for animation, more like live-action than a familiar cartoon.’
Animation Collective has also created 11 two-minute mobisodes for cell phones and online at www.threedelivery.com and www.nicktoonsnetwork.com. While viewers will be exposed to Chinese background through the series, www.threedelivery.com will also offer exclusive content, such as a Chinese glossary, virtual map of Chinatown, screensavers, wallpapers, buddy icons and a free MP3 download of the series’ theme song. The show’s theme song and a music video for Three Delivery were created by the NY-based indie-rock band Ten Minute Turns led by guitarist Alan Foreman who is also the art director of the series.
