Nickelodeon U.K. has acquired Olive the Ostrich, a multiplatform series from Blue-Zoo that includes a short-form animated series for preschoolers.

According to a report in Cynopsis Kids, the series about the adventures of an imaginative young ostrich will use drawings from children as backgrounds in the show. The show will air next year on Nick Jr.

The deal also includes a website where kids can scan and upload their designs, create props and characters online, as well as make their own storybooks, according to the report.

Big Tent Entertainment has signed on to develop apps and e-books for the property.
