CCI Ent.’s animated series Frankenstein’s Cat has been acquired by Nickelodeon International for broadcast in Spain, Benelux, South East Asia, Australia, Latin America and Israel. The gross comedy has also been sold to CBBC, ABC Australia, France 3 and Cartoon France.
Based on the acclaimed book by Curtis Jobling, Frankenstein’s Cat is a digital 2D series aimed at kids 6-11. The show consists of 30 11-minute episodes that follow the exploits of a frantic feline named Nine and his best friend Lottie as they outwit, outrun and generally outdo the citizens of Oddsburg. The show is produced by Manchester-based Mackinnon & Saunders, which made the animation puppets for Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, and Paris-based Kayenta Prods.
Frankenstein’s Cat is licensed and distributed by Toronto’s CCI Ent. The company’s other properties include the animated kids’ shows Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs, Erky Perky and Ghost Trackers.
