NFL Films gets animated

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NFL Films is entering the animation arena with will NFL Backyard Basics: Football Tips from the Pros, to air on CBS Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. ET/PT. The one-hour special will be replayed on Nickelodeon Games & Sports Channel.

The first animated program from the legendary sports documentary unit is aimed at teaching kids the fundamentals of football. Helping out will be Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and an animated version of himself. Other featured NFL notables will include Tony Gonzalez, Marcellus Wiley, Terrell Davis and Martin and Bill Gramatica.
