On the heels of its sale of Beyblade to German broadcasters, Corus Ent.’s Nelvana has closed deals with central European children’s outlets Minimax and NOX Kids for distribution of Nelvana properties in Russia and additional eastern European states.
Minimax has purchased new episodes of shows acquired from Nelvana last year. The new deal includes 13 episodes of Franklin and 13 episodes of Braceface, which is the highest-rated program on Minimax’s Saturday and Sunday morning lineup. Additional titles will be announced in the coming weeks.
Eastern European children and family programming distribution specialist NOX Kids (of NOX Ent.) has signed on to distribute over 375 hours of Nelvana programs, including Franklin, Babar, Care Bears, The Berenstain Bears, Braceface and Beyblade.
