Nelvana Announces New Episodes of ‘Max & Ruby,’ ‘Beyblade,’ ‘Bakugan’

Nelvana Enterprises has announced new episodes of several animated series, including Max & Ruby, Beyblade: Metal Masters and Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge.

For preschooler series Max & Ruby, 26 new half-hour episodes are in production. The series, which is produced with Chorion’s Silver Lining Productions, is a top-three series on Nick and airs in Canada on Treehouse. In addition to several new licensees, a stage show based on the TV series is touring North America this year from Koba Entertainment.

Fifty-one new episodes of Beyblade: Metal Masters are being released by Nelvana and d-rights. Nelvana has signed up 26 licensees around the world for the property, with more expected to be finalized soon. Hudson Entertainment has signed on as the official video game partner, with two games for Nintendo DS and Wii out now, while Vivendi has released two home entertainment titles with another due on the spring.

Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge is set to debut this month the 26 x 30 min. season 4 in Canada and the U.S. Successful licensing partners include Vivendi and Warner Home Video for home entertainment and Activision int he video game market.
