Italian animation studio Mondo TV has signed a deal worth $6.7 million to produce a Playtime Buddies animated series for preschoolers.
The deal calls for 52 13-minute episdodes and was cut with Visual Picnic and Licensing Works. The 2D animated series will be produced in HD and shown at the Mip Junior show in October.
Mondo will handle production and worldwide TV and home video distribution. It also will handle licensing in Italy.
