MIPTV: Austria’s ORF Acquires Seven from EM.TV

EM.TV & Merchandising AG has signed an extensive volume deal with Austrian public broadcaster ORF for seven series from its program library. The deal covers a total of 169 half-hour episodes of children’s and youth programs.

Under the agreement, ORF holds exclusive German language rights for Austria for the EM.TV co-productions Norman Normal season two (26×24), What about Mimi? (26×24) and The World of Tosh (26×24). In addition, ORF is buying four series from the RTV Family Entertainment program portfolio, which EM.TV recently began distributing. These include the new episodes of The Fairly OddParents (26 x 24), Hugo The Jungle Creature (13×24), Roboroach (26×24) and Tomi & Oscar (26×24).

EM.TV and RTV recently signed a long-term sales deal whereby EM.TV acquires, with a few exceptions, the worldwide sales rights to all RTV’s programs for the children’s and youth market.
