A new season of the animated series Mimi & Mr. Bobo will air on Spain’s RTVE beginning May 7. The comedy series launched on the channel in September 1999 and has been a ratings success. The latest installments are being managed by Icon Prods., the new production and distribution company created recently by Sergi Reitg and Myriam Ballesteros.

Co-produced by RTVE and MB Prods., Mimi & Mr. Bobo (26X26) follows the mischievous misadventures of an enthusiastic girl and her gang of friends. These innocent looking youngsters prove that looks can be deceiving. Storekeepers, mafiosos, rock stars, reality show hosts … no one is safe when they decide to turn the town up side down.

In addition to Mimi & Mr. Bobo, Icon’s animated catalogue includes Mimi & The Gang (26 X6 or 7X26), The Living Forest (82’), Lola & Virginia (52X11) and RIP XL (52X11’). The distributor is also in negotiations with different companies regarding other properties.
