Nickelodeon Latin America and toymaker Mattel have entered into a deal to create original programming based on Mattel’s My Scene dolls for girls 8-14, according to Daily Variety.
The partnership will see the production of 13 animated shorts to begin rolling out in the third quarter of 2004. The series will extend to the web, where viewers will be able to vote for alternative endings at a My Scene site to be added to www.mundonick.com.
Also in the works are two Mattel My Scene specials. Nickelodeon will retain exclusive pay TV rights to My Scene Jammin’ in Jamaica and My Scene–Masquerade Madness.
