Latin America Meets Kids Next Door

Having conquered the U.S., the resourceful tykes of Codename: Kids Next Door are set to infiltrate Latin America. The new animated action-comedy Cartoon Cartoon series will premiere on Cartoon Network Latin America on Friday, Sept. 5, at 7:00 p.m.

Created by award-winning animator Tom Warburton, the show follows the escapades of five eager, yet bumbling 10-year-olds as they fight against the forces of tyrannical adults. Armed with ingenious vehicles and equipment engineered with jerry-built “2×4 Technology,” the KND operatives relentlessly defend the rights of kids everywhere by engaging in head-to-head combat with ruthless villains such as demented dental avenger Knightbrace and food forcer Gramma Stuffum.

Codename: Kids Next Door is Cartoon Network’s 14th original production and has been setting ratings records among kids in the U.S. CN Latin America will air the series every Friday at 7:00 p.m. with encore presentations on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and Sundays at 6:00 p.m.

To coincide with the premiere, CN’s web site (www.CartoonNetworkLA.com) has launched video clips, screen savers, wallpaper and a game based on the series. The Operation S.T.A.R.T.U.P. game sends players through 5 levels of action to battle against KND’s meanest rivals.

Codename‘s launch on Cartoon Network Latin America puts it in league with such programs as The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy, Time Squad, Samurai Jack and Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?
