Canadian online preschool video platform Kidobi has picked up the subscription VoD rights to five animated shows from German media outfit m4e/Telescreen. Kidobi’s new acquitisions are Anton (26 x five-minute), Brothers Flub (26 x 22-minute), Plonsters (52 x three-minute), Rudi & Trudi (26 x 11-minute) and Salty’s Lighthouse (40 x 11-minute).

The latest partnership follows Kidobi’s largest deal to date a week ago when it secured 150 hours of kids programming in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian) from Spanish producer/distributor Motion Pictures. Series that will be available starting next month include Van Dogh (104 x four-minute), Zumbers (150 x three-minute), Green Light (26 x five-minute) and Raindrop (26 x 26-minute).

In January, Kidobi acquired digital and VoD rights for preschool series Gombby’s Green Island from Portugal-based Big Storm Studios. Since its launch in summer 2011, Kidobi has acquired more than 500 hours of preschool content.
