Jay Leno Grants OddParents’ Superhero Wish

NBC’s late-night king, Jay Leno, will leap over to Nickelodeon in a single bound on President’s Day. The talk-show host lends his voice to the character The Crimson Chin in the primetime special The Fairly OddParents’ Big Superhero Wish.

Disappointed by the lack of assistance from common neighborhood heroes like the milkman, Timmy Turner wishes for a world that mirrors his favorite comic book, The Crimson Chin. When his wish is granted, Timmy and his friends become superheroes themselves, but learn that everyday heroes are more important than they realized.

The half-hour special will air Monday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m., immediately following a 12-episode marathon.

Nick had great success with the Fairly OddParents: Abra-Catastrophy TV movie which aired in July of last year. Series creator Butch Hartman’s new series, Danny Phantom, will premiere on Nick on April 3.

This weekend, Nickelodeon adds to the TV lovefest with a special episode of the Rugrats spin-off All Grown Up. “It’s Cupid, Stupid” guest stars Lil’ Romeo as the mysterious Lil’ Q (Cupid), who uses magical hackeysacks instead of arrows to spread the love bug. But when poor aim causes only jealousy and envy, it’s up to Dil to set things straight. The episode airs saturday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
