The third season of 4Kids Ent.’s Saturday morning cartoon block, FOX BOX, is set to kick off on Sept. 18 with some help from a legend of professional wrestling. Hulk Hogan and his 16-year-old daughter, Brooke, an up-and-coming pop singer, will serve as special guest hosts during the first two weekends. Viewers will get an exclusive tour of Hogan’s Florida estate and Brooke will perform songs from her upcoming hit album as 4Kids introduces new toons and launches new seasons of returning favorites.
Coming to the lineup this season are the action series One Piece and Nintendo’s F-Zero GP Legend.
One Piece follows a young boy named Monkey D. Luffy, who lives in a small port village and aspires to be a pirate like his childhood hero, "Red-Haired" Shanks. When he accidentally eats the cursed Gum-Gum Fruit, he gains the power to stretch like rubber, a trait that will prove to be both an asset and a limitation as he strives to become the king of the pirates and find the legendary One Piece, the greatest pirate treasure of all.
Based on the popular video game, Nintendo’s F-Zero combines cel animation and CG to take viewers to the year 2201 as rabid fans flock to F-Zero racetracks everywhere. To keep the prize money out of the hands of vicious outlaws and bring peace to the entire galaxy, the Elite Mobile Task Force must race against the menacing Black Shadow.
Returning to FOX BOX are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Shaman King, Winx Club, Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, Sonic X and The Cramp Twins. The Incredible Crash Dummies are also back this season with a new series of animated interstitials appearing throughout the four-hour block.
