Homer Voicer Snags Third Emmy

Dan Castellaneta, the voice actor behind Homer Simpson on Fox’s long-running primetime animated series, The Simpsons, has been honored with another Emmy. The award for voiceover performance is a juried award that will be presented during the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy ceremony on Sept. 12 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

In addition to Homer, Castellaneta lends voice to Krusty the Clown, Grampa Simpson and several other Springfield residents. The actor received statuettes for his work on the show in 1992 and 1993.

In addition, background stylist Seonna Hong will also receive an individual achievement in animation Emmy for her work on the "Wonderful World of Wizzley" episode of Nickelodeon’s My Life as a Teenage Robot.
