FX Greenlights Rogen’s ‘Bigfoot’ Pilot

Seth Rogen’s pilot for the animated series Bigfoot is a go at FX Network, according to Deadline.com. Based on Graham Roumieu’s Bigfoot “autobiography” graphic novels, In Me Own Words, Me Write Book, and I Not Dead, the show is written by Matt McKenna (American Dad) and exec produced by Rogen.

Roumeiu’s pseudo autobiographies centers on a bipolar, hopeless romantic Bigfoot that lacks the ability to properly express himself, living in both the human and animal world of Pine Falls but not quite fitting in to either one.

“This will be the greatest show about an animated Bigfoot ever made,” Rogen said.

Executive producing the pilot are McKenna; Point Grey Pictures’ Rogen and Evan Goldberg; Roumieu; Mosaic’s Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen; and Floyd County Prods’ Adam Reed and Matt Thompson.

FX plans to expand its animation slate, which already includes the Emmy-nominated show Archer and the Danny McBride’s new show Chosen, which will air on FXX.
