‘Futurama’ Launches Facebook Countdown
Comedy Central has begun a digital 50-day countdown for Futurama on Facebook. Fans will be able to check out exclusive content such as preview clips, character designs, episodes, stills and storyboards relating to the new season of the Emmy-winning animated show, which is slated for Thursday, June 23.
The Futurama Facebook fan page has over 12 million fans to date and is one of the top five animated TV shows on the social network site. For the kick-off, Comedy Central is posting a sneak peek clip from the hour-long season premiere episode.
In addition to Facebook, the cabler will feature the Countdown to Futurama on-air and online, including a daily feature on the Comedy Central blog (CC Insider) and on mobile with SMS messaging.
