Fremantle Rides with Limo Guy

October 13, 2008 by Ryan Ball divider image

The Fremantle Corp. has acquired Limo Guy, a quirky new CG-animated series from Comet Ent. Inc. and Kaleidoscope Prods. Described as a modern twist on the sitcom Taxi with a South Park twist, the Flash-animated show is aimed at teens and young adults aged 17 to 34.

Comet and Kaleidoscope are producing 13 half-hour episodes of Limo Guy, which follows the exploits of twenty-something Freddie, who chauffeurs dysfunctional clients. Restless and discontent, Freddie is sure he’s made for bigger things in life, but driving the Limo puts food on the table and provides a daily excuse to spend time with Rose, his boss’ ‘off-limits’ daughter. Other characters include Freddie’s bartender friend, Sam, and Sheila, a working girl who goes by Honey.

The Fremantle Corp. also recently acquired distribution to Fantastic Tales, a six-pack of animated features from Comet Ent. and Kaleidoscope Ent. Fremantle is part of Canada’s Kaleidoscope Entertainment Group, which is based in Toronto, Canada, with staff in Los Angeles and New York. For more information, go to www.fremantlecorp.com.
