FOX Box Nabs Funky Cops

4Kids Ent. has picked up the series Funky Cops from ANTEFILMS for broadcast on Fox’s cartoon block, FOX Box. The acquisition places ANTEFILMS among the first French producers to crack the U.S. market.

A blast from the past, Funky Cops chronicles the adventures of two cops who become disco stars at night in 1970s San Francisco. The show was created by brothers Christophe and Benoit Di Sabatino. It is produced in ANTEFILMS’ digital studios based in Levallois and Angouleme.

The 26×30 series is seen on M6 (France), MTV (Germany), VRAK TV (Canada), FOXTEL-The Comedy Channel (Australia), CANAL PLUS Scandinavia and FOX KIDS Latin America. In addition, a soundtrack is being distributed by Universal Music and licensing/merchandising deals are in the works.

A second season of the show is already in production with 13 new episodes to be available for 2004. ANTEFILMS is also working on the new animation series Code Lyoko, Fred The Caveman, Pet Alien and Anaïta, Legend Of The Abyss.
