U.K. fans of the Jonas Brothers will want to tune in to Disney Channel in September for the British premiere of the musical siblings new series, Jonas.
The channel announced the debut in the wake of the Jonas Brothers’ sold-out performance at Wembley Arena earlier this week.
The new series, which features original songs, stars Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas as the fictional Lucas Brothers and follows their exploits as they tour the world as rock superstars.
The show debuted May 2 in the United States, where it has become the top-rated series for kids 6-11 and the top scripted show on TV for tweens 9-14.
‘Jonas Brothers are incredible talents and we’re delighted to bring their new show to U.K. fans,’ says Jonathan Boseley, VP programming, Disney Channels U.K. & Ireland. ‘Our viewers are into music and comedy, and Jonas will give them both in spades.’
Disney Channel will build up to the premier by showing Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream, a short-form reality series that first aired last year and offers a behind-the-scenes look into the Jonas’ lives.
