Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has signed a deal with Toronto-based Cuppa Coffee to star in a stop-motion animated comedy series.
Details of the primetime series, titled Gordon Ramsay, At Your Service, are being kept under wraps but it will have some fun playing with the chef’s public persona. The studio is currently looking to recruit a writer for the series, according to Variety.
‘Gordon Ramsay has established himself as a true international brand. We’re taking the essence of who he is and having a bit of fun with it,’ says Cuppa Coffee president and executive producer Adam Shaheen.
The studio will be shopping the series at next week’s MIPCOM conference.
Cuppa Coffee is the animation studio behind such TV hits as Celebrity Deathmatch for MTV and Glenn Martin, D.D.S. on Nick at Nite.
Ramsay currently appears on Fox’s series Hell’s Kitchen and the makeover series Kitchen Nightmare.
