Just in time for the Memorial weekend, fanboy favorite Bryan Singer announced...
Conan Goes Clay
Late night talk show host Conan O’Brien is about to get more animated than ever. In a TV first, NBC will broadcast an entirely clay-animated episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien on Thursday, May 15 from 12:35 a.m. to 1:35 a.m.
“This may be the best show we’ve ever done… in clay,” O’Brien quips in a release. The show, which has been in production for months, is a complete re-creation of an episode of from October 2002. Every element, from the opening monologue to the bumpers that lead in and out of commercial breaks, will be animated in clay by Late Night staffers.
In addition to a Mr. Bill-like O’Brien, the show will feature the clay versions of guests Johnny Knoxville from MTV’s Jackass, comedian Richard Lewis and musical guest David Bowie. One comedy segment, the recurring bit “In The Year 2000,” O’Brien will be joined by a plasticine Mr. T.
