CBeebies Picks Up Third Series of ‘Chuggington’

CBeebies has signed on for a third round of Chuggington, the popular train-themed preschooler series from Ludorum.

The deal will inflate the number of episodes to 104 10-minute segments, plust 52 four-minute episodes of the miniseries Badge Quest.

The new series will debut on the network in spring 2012.

“The series has already established itself as a huge ratings success on the U.K.’s leading preschool broadcast platform, exceeding our expectations and continues to deliver strong ratings performances in key territories around the globe,” says Charlie Caminada, chief operating officer, Ludorum.

Chuggington has now sold to over 178 countries around the world and is translated in over 26 languages. Ludorum also has appointed over 180 licensees globally to date.
