Cartoon Network Premieres Yu Yu Hakusho

The anime series Yu Yu Hakusho today joins Dragon Ball Z, Transformers and G Gundam in the Toonami lineup on Cartoon Network today. Produced by FUNimation, the show will premiere this evening at 6:00 p.m. (ET, PT). It will then air following Dragon Ball Z five days a week during the popular afternoon action-adventure programming block.

Yu Yu Hakusho, rated TV-Y7 for fantasy violence, follows the adventures of a fourteen-year-old rebel named Yusuke Urameshi, who gives up his life to save a child. In return for his noble sacrifice, he is permitted to return to Earth with superhuman powers. He joins a motley crew of former rivals to fight spirit criminals and protect the unsuspecting Living World.
