Cartoon Network Night B4 Christmas

Cartoon Network airs the U.S. television premiere of the new animated holiday special The Night B4 Christmas tonight. This hip-hop-infused musical features the voice talents of actor Aries Spears (Mad TV), recording artist Chali 2NA of Jurassic 5 and comedian Earthquake from Paramount’s Kings of Comedy 2.

Produced by Sunwoo Ent. and Nite B4 Prods. Inc., the show centers on a young elf named Elvin (Spears), who leaves the elf life behind, changes his name to "Slim Shoty" and sets out to become the next pop music sensation. Along the way, he hooks up with a gnome, a dog named Pup (2NA) and a girl named Jel-O and soon discovers the harsh realities of the music business. Meanwhile, back at the North Pole, a mysterious virus leaves Santa (Earthquake) bed-ridden and it’s up to Elvin to come back and save Christmas.

The Night B4 Christmas airs tonight at 8:30 p.m. and will repeat on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 8:00 p.m. (ET, PT). It is available on DVD from Urbanworks Ent. and features a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film.

Cartoon Network has also kicked off its Holiday programming schedule with "Grinch Week," four consecutive nights of the classic animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The timeless favorite airs at 8:00 p.m. each night through Thursday, Dec. 4.
