Cartoon Network Has Good Friday

Codename: Kids Next Door led the charge as Cartoon Network’s newly revamped Fridays block (7:00 p.m.-midnight) saw a 27% ratings increase across its target kid demos for the week of Oct.13-19. According to Nielsen Media Research, the original half-hour comedy series, which airs at 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., ranked No. 1 in its time period across all boy demos and posted double and triple-digit delivery and ratings gains across every measured kids audience.

The Cartoon Network original series Teen Titans powered up weekend ratings with a No. 1 ranking in its time periods on basic cable among boys 6-11 and 2-11. The Sunday 10:00 p.m. telecast scored a 2.8 rating, a 155% increase among kids 6-11 and a 190% boost among kids 2-11. On Saturday at 9:00 p.m., the program improved kids 6-11 delivery by 150% with a 3.9, while kids 2-11 delivery jumped by 74% with a 2.9.

Adult Swim, which airs Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., enjoyed a 100% ratings increase among adults 18-34 compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, its ratings among men 18-24 grew by 162% to grab a solid 1.2 share. The adult animation block ranked No. 1 in its time period for those demographics among all basic cable. Futurama (Tuesday, 11:30 p.m.) was the block’s top show, ranking No. 10 with adults 18-34.
