The hit anime thriller Boogiepop Phantom, produced for U.S. distribution by The Right Stuf Int’l, has been licensed for broadcast on Anime Network. The 24-hr content provider is currently available as a video-on-demand feature on digital cable in select markets.
In the series, a string of serial killings and mysterious disappearances of children are linked to the urban legend of Boogiepop, also known as the Angel of Death. All twelve episodes are available on a four-disc DVD collector’s set from The Right Stuf.
The Right Stuf is the first domestic production company to enter into a broadcast distribution deal with Anime Network, which is currently in negotiations with the other major anime providers.
